Herbology
The study , and application of herbs to the human way of life. This study and application has been present since the begining of civilization, it is documented in Celtic, Chinese, Indian, and Native American philosophies. The intent is to align the human experience, and health to a parallel with the natural state of the "earth", and its natural resources. In some instances, Herbology, has been deemed a sort of "religion of nature". This philosophy recognizes that humanity and the rest of creation can become aware of the “oneness of creation”. The individual practitioner of herbology usually studies one system only, whether Western naturopathy, early American Thomsonian herbalism (based on the work of Samuel Thomson and furthered by Dr. John Christopher), Chinese herbology, Ayurvedic (East Indian) herbology, Native American herbology, Middle Eastern Unani medicine, Tibetan medicine and any of the world's folk medicines, to name a few. Within each system, there is also a great divergence of styles, depending on the individual practitioner.
