NEUROMUSCULAR THERAPY
This therapy uses alternative levels of concentrated pressure on specific areas of a muscle (known as "trigger points"), usually applied with the fingers, knuckles, or elbow. Neuromuscular therapy focuses on locating areas within the muscle that are radiating pain, by pressing on these spots the muscle then releases and the contraction stops.
This may seem simple at first, but the tricky part about trigger points is that the trigger point may be radiating to another muscle, and therefore creating a trigger point in that region (these forms of trigger points are known as "satellite trigger points") Neuromuscular becomes a full body treatment, in order to eliminate all trigger points and restore full body balance. However; neuromuscular therapy can be quite painful, and is recommended that smaller sessions be scheduled to deal with the body in a complete, and less painful manner.
